Metric ‘Youth Without Youth’

At long last there’s a new Metric song to wrap your head around, which is especially important to do given the band’s imminent visit to Australia for Splendour In The Grass and (hopefully) some sideshows. It’s been a long time coming, but ‘Youth Without Youth’, the first single from Metric’s upcoming album ‘Synthetica’, which drops on the 12th of June, was worth the wait. Check it out below.

Last Dinosaurs Interview

Last year was a decent one for Brisbane band Last Dinosaurs. They recorded their debut album, played with some huge international bands, watched their songs accrue over a million views on Youtube, and toured a little bit as well. This was easily the busiest day of the festival for me, and even looking back now the amount of quality music I witnessed seems almost absurd.

Splendour In The Grass Day Two Review

While Day One of Splendour In The Grass had been full to the brim with amazing music, timetable clashes, and rushing between stages with very little down time, Day Two for me was much more relaxed. I do think there were perhaps a few timetabling issues that could have been handled better, but ultimately this was just a personal preference thing: there wasn’t a whole heap of music I wanted to see during Day Two. It certainly wasn’t a bad thing, as it allowed for time to fully explore the festival grounds and really take in the atmosphere.
